If you think that iPhone is the latest, coolest phone out there on the market, then think again. The awesomeness, the look and feel and the uniqueness of the iPhone is dead. Who are we suppose to blame? Nexus One the new iPhone killer. The main feature I like about this phone is the fact that it comes unlocked, not bundled with blood sucking wireless carriers like iPhone does. I remember the days when iPhone first came out in 8GB. There were lot of websites,
videos made by generous people that helped me to get rid of the Sim lock (Any Sim, App tap) and to install apps without paying a dime to apple. And I'm glad that Sim unlocking days are gone.
It wasn't too long ago that the Droid was being hailed as a possible iPhone killer by the media, and now just two months after its release, we have a new Android-based device being nominated the new iPhone killer. I guess that's how you really know you are on top of the mountain: each new killer device is supposed to knock you off.
The Nexus One does show the future of the web as being quite mobile. It's the most technologically advanced smart phone in the world as of date, with a 1 GHz processor, 512 MB of ram and a screen supporting 800x480 resolution. Of course, three months from now a new Android-based device will no doubt take smart phones a step further and be hailed as the next iPhone killer, but for now, we can enjoy the Nexus One.
As of now the iPhone dominates mobile web traffic with about 50% of all mobile data going to the iPhone or iPod Touch, but Android is quickly catching up and this figure will be turned around by the end of 2010. Below I have included some specs and comparison of Apple iPhone and google Nexus One.
